The Green Bay Packers' kickoff against the Arizona Cardinals may be in jeopardy with the team left stranded in Wisconsin

The Packers are slated to face the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium Glendale, Arizona at 4:25pm ET on Sunday but less than 24 hours before the clash Jordan Love and co were stranded in Green Bay.

The flight had already been delayed for almost five hours, at the time of writing, due to a mechanical issue with the team plane, according to Tom Pelissero.

The plane has reportedly been stuck on the tarmac throughout the hours-long delay.

Green Bay is currently 3-1-1, and leads the Lions by percentage points in the NFC North race after beating the Cincinnati Bengals last week.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals have slumped to last in the NFC West at 2-4 but now their chance to claw themselves back with a win is seemingly at risk.

It isn't the first time that NFL franchises have suffered travel chaos while making their way across the country for matchups.

Just last month, the Dallas Cowboys hit a major stumbling block en route to Chicago for their Week 3 game against the Bears.

The team had been scheduled to take off at 3:30pm ET the day before the game, but found themselves ensnared in mass airport chaos 24 hours before kickoff.

Equipment malfunctions at two Dallas airports - Dallas Love Field and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport - put the Cowboys' travel plans at risk as hundreds of flights were cancelled.

The team did eventually board their flight and made it to the Windy City in time.
