Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Khalil Mack left their game against the Raiders with his arm in a sling on Monday after suffering a gruesome elbow injury in Las Vegas.
At the end of the first quarter, Mack collided brutally with fellow Chargers linebacker Troy Dye when his teammate tried to tackle Raiders receiver Tre Tucker.
Dye appeared to accidentally fly into his shoulder, with distressing replays showing his arm twisting completely out of place.
Mack was swiftly taken off the field before eventually returning to the bench out of uniform and with his arm in a sling after being ruled out for the rest of the game.
The 34-year-old had already established his presence against Las Vegas, the team that drafted him fifth in 2014.

He sacked quarterback Geno Smith to force a Raiders field goal. His 12 1/2 sacks against his former employers are the most versus any team.
Mack is a three-time first-team AP All-Pro player and a nine-time Pro Bowler. He has recorded double-digit sacks five times, including a career-high 17 in 2023. But he had just six sacks last season.
During the game at Allegiant Stadium, Raiders minority owner and Fox Sports commentator Tom Brady sparked outrage amongst NFL fans after he was seen watching the game from the coaches booth.
The NFL shared and then deleted a video of Brady, who fans believe has a conflict of interest in his role with Fox, watching alongside Las Vegas coaches much to the dismay of viewers across the country.
In the offseason, the league made an adjustment to the so-called 'Brady Rules' by allowing the former New England Patriots star to attend production meetings with teams he's commentating on. However, he remains barred from attending team practices.
The video drew scorn from NFL fans across the league for what they believed to be a blatant flouting of fairness by having a commentator like Brady feeding information to his coaching staff. Daily Mail has contacted the NFL and Fox Sports for comment.
