"Based on developments over the past two days, where the intensity of Israel's attacks has increased, targeting not only military but also civilians," Sugiono said on Thursday, June 18, 2025, as quoted by Antara. He emphasized that this evacuation is a contingent step due to the critical situation.

Previously, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi affirmed that the government was continuously monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of Indonesian citizens in Iran. "We have prepared mitigations and plans if something happens," he said on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, also quoted by Antara.

Hadi also reported that a meeting of world foreign ministers is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, to discuss and evaluate the conflict.
