Indonesia Raises Rp10 Trillion from Sukuk Auction as Investor Demand Surges

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian government raised Rp10 trillion from the auction of eight series of State Sharia Securities (SBSN), or sukuk, held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

According to a statement from the Finance Ministry’s Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management on Wednesday, October 29, the total bids in the auction reached Rp51.43 trillion, showing strong investor interest.

The largest portion of funds came from the newly issued PBS040 series, which absorbed Rp3.4 trillion out of Rp9.05 trillion in bids. The weighted average yield for this series was 5.399 percent, with maturity on November 15, 2030.

The PBSG002 series, another new issuance, contributed Rp2 trillion from Rp10.54 trillion in offers, with an average yield of 5.909 percent and a maturity date of October 15, 2033.

From the reopened PBS034 series, the government secured Rp1.8 trillion out of Rp11.82 trillion in bids, offering an average yield of 6.295 percent and maturing on June 15, 2039.

The PBS038 series (reopening) brought in Rp1.2 trillion from Rp5.97 trillion in bids, with a yield of 6.610 percent and maturity on December 15, 2049.

Meanwhile, Rp1 trillion was absorbed from the SPNS13072026 (reopening) series, which received Rp6.75 trillion in offers, carrying an average yield of 4.6 percent and maturing on July 13, 2026.

Lastly, the SPNS08122025 (reopening) series contributed Rp600 billion from Rp850 billion in bids, with a 4.6 percent yield and maturity on December 8, 2025.

The government, however, opted not to absorb funds from the SPNS06042026 (reopening) and PBS030 (reopening) series, despite offers of Rp895 billion and Rp5.56 trillion, respectively.
