TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian rider, Veda Ega Pratama, will start the Moto3 USA race from the fourth position after showing a competitive performance in the qualifying session at the Circuit of the Americas in the early hours of Sunday, March 29, 2026. This result serves as an important stepping stone for Veda Ega Pratama to compete for the podium again.
The 17-year-old rider immediately advanced to the second qualifying session Q2 after demonstrating promising performance since the free practice sessions. Veda had previously closed the second free practice session in 10th position before continuing his positive trend in the qualifying session.
In Q2, Veda impressed by momentarily securing the second position and closely sticking to the leader's lap time, Alvaro Carpe. However, in the last three minutes, Carpe strengthened his position with the best time of 2 minutes 12.107 seconds.
Meanwhile, Casey O'Gorman excelled in his final lap to secure the second position. The third position was then secured by Valentin Perrone.
Veda actually had the opportunity to improve his position in the final lap. He recorded a competitive time up to the second sector, but slightly went wide off the track, leading to the cancellation of his lap time. Nevertheless, Veda still secured the fourth starting position, which presents a great opportunity to achieve optimal results in the Moto3 USA race.
