TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Boston Furniture Industries Tbk (SOFA), through its subsidiary PT Pratama Satya Prima (PSP), has entered the waste management and power generation sectors. The move was officially documented before a notary on October 15, 2025.

SOFA Director Dimas Adiyasa Wiryaatmaja said the subsidiary updated its business activities to align with regulatory requirements.

"PSP has adjusted its business activities to comply with the standard field classification regulations, in order to meet the requirements for integrated electronic business licensing services, as well as to add new business activities," he said in an information disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

PSP’s waste management operations will include waste treatment and disposal, organic waste compost production, and recovery of both metal and non-metal goods. Its power generation business will cover electricity generation, transmission, and sale within a single business unit.

PT Boston Furniture Industries Tbk is primarily engaged in furniture production, with all products manufactured in-house. The company conducted a public offering from June 30 to July 1, 2020, which was oversubscribed more than 100 times.

During the offering, SOFA released 400 million shares, representing roughly 24.24 percent of its fully paid-up and issued capital. Shares were priced at Rp100 each, raising a total of Rp40 billion from the public.
