TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tehran will attack data centers in Arab countries used by the United States (US) in its military operations against Iran, an Iranian diplomatic source told RIA Novosti on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
"The United States uses data centers in Arab countries to support intelligence and military operations against Iran. There is a possibility that Iran will attack these data centers in the coming days," the source said.
The Iranian diplomat added that Washington also uses fiber optic infrastructure in Arab countries in its operations against Iran.
The assumption that attacks on data centers and fiber optic infrastructure in Middle Eastern countries are possible is based on the fact that Arab governments have not taken steps to prevent "misuse" by the US military.
On February 28, the United States (US) and Israel launched attacks on targets in Iran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran retaliated by attacking Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East.
The US and Israel initially claimed their strikes were necessary to counter the perceived threat posed by Iran's nuclear program. However, they soon clarified that the attacks were carried out because they wanted to see a change of power in Iran.
