Jason Kelce has revealed he and former Philadelphia Eagles teammate Lane Johnson once didn't speak for an entire offseason after he lashed out at him in public for being 'pampered'.
During an appearance on Philadelphia radio station Sports Radio WIP, the legendary center was discussing recent reports about Eagles stars growing frustrated with quarterback Jalen Hurts when he opened up on his feud with Johnson.
In the wake of Chip Kelly's firing as head coach in late 2015, Kelce lashed out at the offensive tackle publicly after he bemoaned their exhausting practice schedule, which he claimed was 'taking its toll' on the team.
'I mean, I love Lane Johnson to death,' he said. 'But he's only played for one head coach. How does he know the way other teams practice? His only mindset is on what other guys say and what other guys say. They might come in and think that they're working hard and maybe they're just getting older. I mean who knows?'
'I think, quite honestly, some of these guys are a little pampered,' Kelce added. 'I don't want to get started on this, it really bugs me.'
And Kelce says he and Johnson, who were good friends at the time and remain close today, gave each other the silent treatment for close to a year after his comments.

Jason Kelce gets emotional when reacting to the report about internal frustration with Jalen Hurts, as Kelce reveals a story about how he did not speak to one of his best friends in Lane Johnson for a full offseason.

'Lane and I didn't talk for an entire offseason. Lane is like one of my best friends... like, I love that guy,' he said before becoming visibly emotional.
'This is part of being on a team, there are so many ups and downs. I've gotten into yelling matches with Jeff Stoutland, a guy that I consider almost like a father.
'This thing brings out emotions and sides of people because you all want to win so bad.'
Kelce and Johnson played together for over a decade in Philadelphia, winning the Super Bowl together in 2018 and making it back to NFL's end-of-season showpiece five years later.
According to The Athletic, certain Eagles players have become frustrated by Hurts' approach this season, particularly with his apparent hesitancy to throw the ball into tight windows against zone coverage.
The report added that they believe the Super Bowl-winning quarterback is simply playing 'his game' instead of implementing what they discuss during the week in practice.
'I hate seeing this and the only way out of this is you talk to people. Be accountable. You try and work this out,' Kelce stressed.
The pair played together in Philadelphia for over a year and remain close friends to this day
'It's not that much different than what you do in your marriage. You try to be accountable to what you’re doing wrong, what you’re failing in.'
For his part, Hurts is not taking too much from the reports of unrest inside the Philadelphia locker room.
'I'm not surprised by anything. This is kind of the nature of the position,' he said Wednesday.
'But I put my energy and my focus on trying to go out there and do my best and trying to learn, trying to build, trying to take in the things that I can to try and improve.'
