New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn has not yet made a decision on who his starting quarterback will be for Week 8, according to ESPN’s Jets reporter Rich Cimini.
The Jets are in contention to become the third team in NFL history to not win a single game in a season - but will become the first to go 0-17 if that feat is realized.
This week, the Jets put up only 220 total yards of offense to the Carolina Panthers - losing by a score of 13-6.
Starting quarterback Justin Fields went down early with an injury, but did not impress before he left the game.
He completed six passes for a lowly 46 yards while taking three sacks for a loss of 21 yards. Fields also rushed four times for 22 yards.
Replacing him was backup Tyrod Taylor, who did marginally better by completing 10-of-22 passes for 126 yards. However, he also tossed a pair of interceptions.

Justin Fields has not been efficient while running the Jets' league's worst passing offense
Fields has been mistake-free in his time with Gang Green, but woefully inefficient.
While he's tossed four touchdowns and no interceptions (compared to the three touchdowns and three picks from Taylor), Fields is the only quarterback in the NFL this season who has started five games but hasn't tossed 850 passing yards.
He's one of two quarterbacks to start at least five games and not surpass 1,000 yards yet. The other person joining him on the list is Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray, who has missed the last two weeks due to injury.
Fields is also in the bottom ten in pass completion percentage at 63.7 percent, behind the Raiders' Geno Smith but ahead of the Broncos' Bo Nix.
The Jets have the fourth-worst total offense in the NFL and the league's worst passing offense - averaging just 143.4 yards through the air per game.
New York will hope to finally break their duck this weekend when they travel to play the Cincinnati Bengals.
