TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) has agreed to support the Free Health Check (PKG) program that will be launched by the Ministry of Health on Monday, January 10, 2025. Kadin Indonesia is officially in cooperation with the Ministry of Health to support this program.
"Because (the total population of Indonesia is) 295 million people. So if we look at the combination of PKG, we had a discussion with Minister (Menkes) following the President's quick win program, from talking about the eradication of tuberculosis, the free health check program to investment in the health sector, it's extraordinary, very suitable for Kadin's role," said Chairperson of Kadin Indonesia Anindya Novyan Bakrie in his written statement, quoted on Monday, February 10, 2025.
Not only that, Kadin Indonesia has also expressed its willingness to support and promote national development in the field of health. Anindya said at the CEO and Business Matching Forum Indonesia - India in New Delhi, India two weeks ago that Kadin Indonesia through Mayapada Healthcare has established cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apollo Hospitals India. This cooperation is aimed at developing internationally standardized hospitals in Batam through the modernization of health equipment and the development of the quality of hospital health workers.
Anindya Bakrie expressed his organization's support during an audience with the Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin, at the Ministry of Health office in South Jakarta, late Thursday. Anindya was accompanied by the Vice Chairman of the Coordinating Board for Human and Cultural Development of Kadin Indonesia Shinta Widjaja Kamdani and the Vice Chairman of the Health Division of Kadin Indonesia David Utama.
Meanwhile, Minister Budi said the meeting with Kadin Indonesia was to involve business organizations in the success of the PKG program. "The President has agreed that on February 10, 2025, the PKG program will be implemented, and the President does not like ceremonies, so let's just get started," Budi said in the same written statement.
Kadin Indonesia and the Ministry of Health are still discussing the technical implementation of the program in various locations, including the possibility of conducting examinations directly at facilities owned by Kadin Indonesia member companies.
