The Chiefs reportedly made a last-gasp attempt to pry Breece Hall out of New York but the Jets rejected their offer of a fourth-round pick in exchange for the running back.
The Jets were at the center of a number of blockbuster trades ahead of Tuesday's deadline, with Sauce Gardner sent to the Colts and Quinnen Williams traded to the Cowboys.
But Hall is staying in New York after Kansas City failed to meet the Jets' demands for their star running back.
According to SNY, the Jets were prepared to listen to offers for Hall but New York was holding out for a third-round pick in any trade.
The Chiefs would only offer a fourth-round draft pick and eventually the deadline passed. In a now-deleted post on X, Hall reacted to the Jets' trades on Tuesday. 'Sick about my bruddas man,' he wrote. 'Happy for them but man I'm sick rn [right now].'
Andy Reid's Chiefs have Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt as their primary running backs but neither has rushed for as many yards as Hall (581) this season.

Following the trade deadline, Jets general manager Darren Mougey was asked why New York held on to Hall despite letting Gardner and Williams leave.
'Through these processes, we talk about a lot of things and we field a lot of calls,' Mougey said. 'Breece is a talented player and he's going to help us compete and win games the rest of this season.'
Gardner, one of the Jets' most popular and accomplished players, was traded to the Colts for a first-round draft pick in 2026 and another in 2027, along with wide receiver Adonai Mitchell.
For Williams, meanwhile, the Cowboys are giving New York a 2027 first-round pick, a 2026 second-rounder and underperforming defensive tackle Mazi Smith.
The Jets will get the better of Dallas' 2027 first-rounders. The Cowboys added first-round choices each of the next two years in another blockbuster, the trade that sent star pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Packers a week before the season.
