LeBron James has admitted that he doesn't 'talk as much' to eldest son Bronny these days, despite sharing a locker room with the rising LA Lakers star.

NBA veteran LeBron made his long-awaited return to the court on Tuesday night, putting up a double-double in his 2025 season debut against the Utah Jazz.

Bronny, meanwhile, played just three minutes of the game but still managed to hit a deep three that brought the Crypto.com Arena to it's feet - including LeBron.

After the game, the 40-year-old star was quizzed by reporters on his relationship with Bronny - both inside and outside the LA Lakers locker room.

LeBron said: 'He's not a resident anymore, so we don't talk as much. He has his own place. But he's great.'

'It's been great to see and to watch [his growth]. And he's still young. He turned 21 not too long ago. He's still learning and getting better with each and every rep.'

Bronny, 21, has made 10 appearances for the Lakers during the current season, averaging 11.1 minutes of action per game.

During those games, Bronny is averaging 2.1 points-per-game, 0.9 rebounds-per-game and 1.8 assists-per-game.

Meanwhile, LeBron made his return from injury for the clash at the Crypto.com Arena, having missed the Lakers' opening 14 games of the season after developing sciatica.

Though it wasn't a vintage LeBron display - which is understandable given his recent injury - the 40-year-old star still produced 11 points, 12 assists and three rebounds.

By making his return to the court on Tuesday, James set an NBA record for the most seasons played, 23, surpassing the record held by Vince Carter.

During the game, James also moved up to sixth in the NBA's all-time 3-pointers list, surpassing Reggie Miller.

Elsewhere on the night, Luka Doncic produced a stunning 37 points, as well as 10 assists and five rebounds, in yet another stunning performance for the Slovenian star.
