TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The rapid transit system MRT Jakarta is offering a special fare of Rp243 today to celebrate MRT Day, which falls on March 24. MRT first operated in Jakarta on March 24, 2019.
Corporate Secretary Division Head of PT MRT Jakarta, Rendy Primartantyo, stated that this special fare aims to attract more users to comfortable, safe, and integrated public transportation in Jakarta.
"The Rp243 fare is applicable through payments using the MyMRTJ application," he said in a written statement on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Rendy mentioned that this promotional fare is only valid for today for ticket purchases through the MyMRTJ application and using designated payment methods, namely Kredivo, blu by BCA Digital, and GoPay. Each user can only enjoy the promotion once during the program period.
MRT Jakarta is also presenting a series of programs that will run from March 24 to April 24, 2026. As the highlight of the series, MRT Jakarta will hold the MRT Day 2026 Festival open to the public on April 24-25, 2026.
This series of celebrations is also part of the campaign "Melaju Menyatukan Masa Depan Kota" (Rushing Forward Uniting the Future of the City), reflecting MRT Jakarta's commitment to connecting spaces, communities, and the future of the city. Information about the MRT Day 2026 activities and passenger service programs can be accessed through MRT Jakarta's official social media and the MyMRTJ application.
"MRT Jakarta urges all customers to comply with regulations and maintain order and comfort while using public transportation," Rendy added.
