Reigning NBA MVP and Oklahoma City Thunder star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has addressed a reported burglary at his house this year.
Gilgeous-Alexander did not speak about the incident after it had reportedly occurred during a game against the Washington Wizards on October 30.
No one was inside the house, however, police responded to the scene shortly after.
Speaking to reporters, Gilgeous-Alexander talked about the incident and put a positive spin on it.
'Long story short, everybody's safe. That's all that really matters. Everything else will come and go,' he said.
By the time police arrived on the scene, the perpetrators had already departed.

The break-in happened while Gilgeous-Alexander was playing against the Washington Wizards
This is one of many recent break-ins to the homes of celebrities and athletes that have become a scourge across the country.
In recent years, the homes of NFL stars Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Joe Burrow have all been broken into. Additionally, the home of NHL star Evgeni Malkin was burgled - as was the car of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
The FBI has claimed a syndicate in South America has begun to target the homes of high-profile sports stars. It's not clear if there are any links between that group and this incident.
Despite injuries to co-stars Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams, Gilgeous-Alexander is flying high and has the Thunder off to a perfect 7-0 start.
Across those games, he's averaging 33.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game.
