Javier Pavia, the brother of Vanderbilt's starting quarterback Diego Pavia, has been released from custody after he was arrested on Saturday.
Javier was arrested for public intoxication after getting into a heated argument with stadium staff while his brother was guiding the Commodores to a 45-24 win in a standout performance against the Tennessee Volunteers.
Event staff at Neyland Stadium are said to have requested Javier to stop holding up a flag that was blocking other fans' view of the field, sparking the tense exchange of words with security and police.
Javier 'appeared to be extremely intoxicated as he slurred his speech and was unsteady on his feet,' according to the arrest record, via WVLT.
He was also said to be 'extremely verbally combative' with both the trooper and stadium staff, which resulted in his arrest at around 6:40pm local time - during the fourth quarter of the game.
It has now emerged that Javier was released from custody shortly after 4am Sunday morning and is scheduled to be arraigned on December 9, according to WVLT.

Diego's brother, Javier, was seen being escorted out by police and later being detained
In a video of the altercation, the quarterback's brothers could be seen telling the officials inside the stadium: 'The SEC has the same rules everywhere, it should be no different.
'We're about to take over this state, you'll find out'.
Saturday's incident wasn't the first time that Pavia has been detained during a game this season.
Back in September, both of Diego Pavia's brothers - Javier, 25, and Roel, 26, - were arrested and charged with resisting arrest and public intoxication during Vanderbilt's season opener.
Javier is reportedly due back in court on January 12, 2026, with his charges still pending in Davidson County in regards to that previous arrest.
Meanwhile, the Pavia family previously went viral back in September after comedian Theo Von was bizarrely roped into taking their mother for a date.
Von was on the sideline for Vanderbilt's 31-7 win over South Carolina - and revealed to ESPN that quarterback Pavia had offered up a date with his mom if the Commodores won the game.

While Diego Pavia was leading to Vanderbilt to victory, his family caused chaos in the stands
'The way I understand the story is that - maybe just give me a nod if this is OK,' sideline reporter Cole Cubelic began to Von. 'Diego Pavia wins this game, he promised you he would set you up with a date with his mom.'
Von then confirmed the strange arrangement as he nodded his head.
'My goal is, I would like to marry a nurse one day, so that's why I think he was thinking about that,' Von said.
'I don't even know if I would do it. I like being his friend, I don't wanna end up being his stepdad.'
