The NFL have initiated a review of the application of concussion protocol over an incident involving New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart.
In their win over the Eagles on Thursday night, Dart put in his most impressive NFL performance to date as he completed 17 of 25 passes and threw one touchdown.
However, during the third quarter, Dart found himself in the medical tent after taking a hard shot to his left shoulder and temple.
He was evaluated on the sideline, as Giants head coach Brian Daboll was seen approaching the tent to check on his star rookie, before later returning to the field.
The NFL have now confirmed that they have launched a review over the matter.
Speaking after the game, Daboll was asked about his role in the incident and he admitted that he 'apologized directly' to medical staff after seemingly interfering.

Daboll said: 'If you've ever been on an NFL sideline, there's a lot of emotions. There's a lot of emotions. And I certainly am an emotional guy.
'I apologized directly to our team physician. I just wanted his a** out there if he was OK. But I wanted the process — like, we were getting ready to go for it on a potential fourth down.
'I would have burned a timeout if he could have came out there. So I was asking how long is it gonna take?
“So, again, you want your guy out there, not at risk of anything else. But, you know, he came out. ‘I think he’s gonna be good.’
'I’m like, ‘Is he gonna be good or not? I’m gonna call a timeout on fourth down and go for this son of a b****.’ You know what I mean? So, I love our doctors. I apologize. I was in the wrong.”
The NFL's review will be conducted jointly with the NFLPA under the parties’ collective bargaining agreement.
It remains to be seen whether Daboll will be punished over his role in the incident.
Despite the ordeal, Dart managed to put in his most impressive performance to date for the Giants and lead to victory over the reigning Super Bowl champions.

Afterwards, while being interviewed by the Amazon Prime crew alongside Skattebo, Dart showered with applause as fans offscreen chanted his name.
‘It’s a lot of fun being able to play at this level against the best,’ Dart said. ‘We’re just trying to do our best.’
