NFL legend Terry Bradshaw left fans concerned after he produced a bizarre story that left his Fox colleagues stunned during their broadcast on Sunday.

Bradshaw was on duty for the network's NFL pregame show and joined in the team's discussions about Kansas City's upcoming game against the Commanders.

During the segment, the 77-year-old went a bizarre tangent and claimed that he had been in contact with Chiefs head coach Andy Reid

However, that wasn't actually the case. Bradshaw said: 'The other day, I text Andy Reid and I get a text back. I thought it was Andy Reid but it was some guy selling pigs.

'I shouldn't have told y'all that, so that you thought that I actually talked to Andy Reid'.

It's fair to say that the story left Fox's other analysts confused and Michael Strahan was visibly stunned by the bizarre tangent that Bradshaw went on.

The incident quickly went viral on social media, with NFL fans calling on Bradshaw to retire following the latest of his worrying gaffes.

Taking to X, one fan wrote: 'I don't feel like he adds any value to the show anymore. Fox should gracefully retire him, ASAP.'

'Terry should have been off the show years ago. Why don’t boomers ever retire?,' another fan wrote.

Meanwhile, one confused fan said: 'Listened 10 times and still can’t figure out what he trying to say lmao'.

A flurry of other posts read: 'Strahan’s face here is taking me out'.

'They need to take terry off this show lol', another wrote.

It served as the latest embarrassment for Bradshaw, following his failure to pronounce a star running back's name during a recent Fox broadcast.

Bradshaw was tasked with providing a scoring update in the Bears' contest against the New Orleans Saints when the blunder occurred.

Michael Strahan was left utterly bemused by the confusing story from the 77-year-old

NFL fans quickly rushed to social media to call for Bradshaw to step down from his role

The Hall-of-Famer referred to Swift as 'Deonday... DeAndre Smith' before one of his colleagues corrected him. Bradshaw did eventually get Swift's name right.

While Swift's name is not the easiest to pronounce, fans were still ruthless in their assessment of Bradshaw's effort and compared him to former President Joe Biden.

Bradshaw has been an NFL analyst since 1984 - when the former quarterback quickly signed a television contract soon after his retirement.

He's been with Fox since 1994 and has been a staple of the network's broadcasting ever since.
