The NFL clash between the Titans and Jaguars erupted into chaos after one star accused an opponent of issuing a chilling death threat mid-game.
In the fourth quarter of the game, tensions boiled over after Titans running back Julius Chestnut and Jaguars punter Logan Cooke were involved in a sideline scuffle.
In videos that later emerged on social media, the duo could be seen confronting each other before a shoving match began and teammates from both sides piled in.
Officials eventually intervened and diffused the situation but not before Cooke allegedly made the shocking remark to the Titans star.
Speaking to media after the game, Chestnut said: 'I don't really know why the punter did that, honestly.
'I was just trying to play hard and he came up to me saying he's gonna kill me, so I don't know what made him do that?'

Chestnut and Cooke clashed during the fourth quarter of the Jaguars-Titans game on Sunday
'I was just trying to play hard and he came up to me saying he's gonna kill me, so I don't know what made him do that?' Chestnut told reporters after the game
Chestnut was asked if he felt it was a result of frustrations boiling over, to which he said: 'I don't think it was any frustration.
'I think it was just us playing hard. Me and the other guy was just playing hard, and I think he just wanted something to say, honestly.'
Delving further into the potential reasons behind the verbal attack, Chestnut said: 'It might've been a couple plays before and I made a block on him, maybe.
'I don't know what would make him want to do that, but it was surprising to me. I never seen nothing like that before.'
Cooke, meanwhile, did not speak on the incident but did conduct a post-game interview with media, where he admitted that Chestnut got the better of him.
The Jaguars punter was also seen in deep conversation with the referee at halftime, shortly after punting from inside his own end zone.
Explaining that interaction, Cooke said: 'I might have said some things that sounded rude, so I wanted to go clear the air.
Officials quickly intervened and diffused the altercation at the Nissan Stadium
'I don't like people having grudges against me. So kind of telling him the situation and also find out his take on what happened on that play in the end zone.'
Meanwhile, Jaguars coach Liam Coen said he wants Cooke to be smarter when it comes to his flag for unnecessary roughness.
He said: 'There were some frustrations that were being built up with them rushing us the way they were with the long snapper issue, and we thought we maybe were roughed or potentially roughed at one point. I don't know if it got called or not.'
In the end, the Jaguars ran out 25-3 winners. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence had an impressive afternoon and went 16-of-27 for 229 yards including two touchdowns.
