Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce has been ruled out for the rest of the game against the Tennessee Titans after being evaluated for a concussion from a tough fall.
Pierce was tossed the ball by Colts quarterback Daniel Jones, with the wideout going to the air and beating Titans defensive back Amani Hooker to the ball.
Hooker wrapped up Pierce a split second later, bringing harshly to the turf, with his head smacking off the ground.
The worrisome part for Indianapolis is Pierce attempts to get up from the turf under his own power and is unable to so quickly after hitting the ground.
Pierce had impressed thus far in the NFL season, turning into the true top wide receiver for the team.
Yet, with Pierce's history of concussions, the 25-year-old looks to have an early-season setback.

Pierce has had three confirmed concussions in his NFL career, dating back to his NFL debut in 2022 against the Houston Texans.
Pierce entered concussion protocol during consecutive weeks of the 2024 season against the Broncos and Titans, ultimately only missing parts of two games with the injuries.
More to come.
