England are sweating over the fitness of Ollie Lawrence for their final autumn Test against Argentina.

The centre limped off in the final minute of Saturday's victory over the All Blacks after scoring a try in the first-half.

He was replaced by No 8 Chandler Cunningham-South, with Ben Earl moved into the backline for the final throes at Twickenham.

With fellow centre Tommy Freeman ruled out of this weekend's fixture, Steve Borthwick will hope that Lawrence recovers ahead of Friday's team announcement.

Lock Ollie Chessum is also expected to miss out, although utility back Elliot Daly could return for the first time since this summer's Lions tour.

England will secure an 11th consecutive victory if they beat the South Americans on Sunday.

England face a nervous wait to see if Ollie Lawrence will be fit for their clash with Argentina

Lawrence suffered an injury late on in their win against New Zealand but did score a try earlier

'We don't want to be a team that peaks and has one brilliant performance or has a massive spike,' said centre Fraser Dingwall.

'If you want to truly be the team that we want to be you've got to do it every single week. So I've got no questions about how the group is going to turn up with the same attitude to get better.

'We will review the game honestly, take the learnings, take the positives but once again it's about attacking another week, we're playing against a quality Argentina side and that becomes the next most important thing.

'They're a great side, they've got some unbelievable players. They're a dynamic team, they're physical with their forwards but their backs are able to move the ball nicely.

'They have some speed and some really good players out there. It's not a challenge we're going to take lightly, it's a proper test and it's just really exciting to get into another week.'

Meanwhile, plans for the new globe-trotting Nations Championship have been confirmed. England are scheduled to face the Springboks and Fiji in South Africa next July, before a long-haul flight to Argentina to face the Pumas on consecutive weekends.
