Olympic figure skater Alysa Liu has announced she is switching up her program music after a 15-year-old girl was recently found dead in pop singer D4vd's car.
D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is at the center of a murder investigation over the decomposing body that was found inside the trunk of his impounded Tesla earlier this month.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department made the grim discovery after receiving reports of a foul odor coming from the vehicle, before the dismembered remains were later identified as Celeste Rivas - who went missing at the age of 13 back in May 2024.
And amid the probe into his involvement, Liu, 20, has been forced to remove one of d4vd's songs from her short program.
The world figure skating champion had been fine-tuning a program set to the song 'This Is How It Feels,' performed by both d4vd and Icelandic singer Laufey, for the upcoming season.
But she told the Associated Press on Wednesday: 'I have to change it, you know? Forced to change my hand, basically. But that’s alright.

'I almost was grieving the process — "Oh, I have my programs. They were going to grow and evolve, and I was going to add more to it." But there’s nothing like a fresh start.'
Most figure skaters begin working on new programs in late-spring, then unveil them during a series of lower-level competitions toward the end of summer. By the time the Grand Prix season rolls around in October, they are tightening up the elements ahead of the most important competitions, such as the Grand Prix Final and national and world championships.
Or, every four years, the Winter Olympics. The next one takes place in Italy in February.
Liu is favored to make the three-woman contingent for the US team. The two-time national champion made a triumphant return from a brief retirement to finish second at nationals earlier this year, and then surprised the skating establishment by winning the world championship in February — the first for an American woman since Kimmie Meissner in 2006.
She also announced the change of music on her Instagram story, telling fans: 'As many of you know, I recently debuted a new short program for the 25-26 season. However, in light of recent news, my team & I are confidently pursuing a different direction that aligns with my values & just my overall ethos.
'I’m eager to start brainstorming new ideas, & I want to ensure my creative process isn’t rushed. So, in the meantime, you may see some familiar programs. Thank you for your ongoing support!'
World figure skating champion Liu has therefore been forced to alter her short program
It was revealed this week that Rivas had been reported missing multiple times by her family in Lake Elsinore before she was found dead in d4vd's Tesla.
Investigators from the LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division are now piecing together her history in an effort to understand the circumstances leading up to her death.
According to TMZ, she had repeatedly run away from home due to a turbulent family life, with detectives reportedly claiming there's plenty of evidence that she comes from a 'troubled home'.
Last week, police raided d4vd's Hollywood Hills home searching for blood evidence in connection with the case.
He has not been formally charged with any violation as of Wednesday morning; the Daily Mail has reached out to d4vd for further comment on the story.
