TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated on Sunday, June 28, 2026, that a total of 73,058 Palestinians have been killed and 173,488 others injured since Israel launched its military campaign in Gaza on October 7, 2023.

The Gaza Government Media Office, as reported by Al Jazeera, stated that 1,045 Palestinians have been killed and 3,380 others injured since the "ceasefire" was implemented.

Rescue teams have also discovered 786 bodies. Medical teams said that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and are lying on the roadside as ambulance teams and rescuers are unable to reach them.

It has also documented 3,465 violations by Israel against the agreement.

"We strongly condemn the occupation’s systematic policies of targeting and destroying the Palestinian people" the statement said.

It urged the mediators and sponsoring parties of the ceasefire to compel Israel to implement all the terms of the agreement and "immediately cease its ongoing violations."

Palestinian Child Killed by Israel

On Monday, June 29, 2026, at least three people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, according to health authorities. An eight-year-old child and two men were killed in the attack today, while several others were injured, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital revealed.

The attack occurred near the Wadi Salqa Bridge on Baraka Street. The Palestinian news agency, Wafa, identified the casualties as Ali Fayez Isbaitan, Hassan Salman al-Hanajra, and Malik Wael Abu Shaweesh, who was eight years old.

Israeli military vehicles also advanced on Salah al-Din Street in the Nuseirat refugee camp—which is also located in the central part of Gaza—amid the sound of gunfire and artillery attacks, as reported by the Turkish news agency, Anadolu. Two people were reported injured in an artillery attack in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza.

Despite the ceasefire that began in October 2025, Israeli forces continue to launch attacks on the enclave.

Israeli attacks killed at least four Palestinians in Gaza on Sunday, June 28, including a 13-year-old girl, and injured several others.

Occupation of Over Half of Gaza

Furthermore, during the ceasefire, the Israeli military continues to expand its occupation of areas within Gaza and issue forced evacuation orders. The military stated that Palestinians are prohibited from approaching Israeli-occupied areas beyond the "Yellow Line"—a boundary that initially covered 53 percent of Gaza's territory at the start of the ceasefire and has since expanded to 64 percent by March.

Anadolu reported that Israeli military vehicles had shifted the "Yellow Line" markers about 150 meters westward in the central Gaza area. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for Israeli forces to occupy 70 percent of the Gaza Strip.
