Paul Pogba has used his time away from football to launch a new clothing line on the eve of a potential return to action with new side Monaco.

The France international received an 18-month ban for doping after returning an adverse test while featuring for Serie A Juventus.

The Italian club agreed a mutual termination of his contract before the end of his suspension, which came earlier this year, with the 32-year-old signing a deal with Ligue 1 side Monaco ahead of the 2026-25 season.

As Pogba works his way back to match fitness in the Principality, Pogba has also been working on a new venture, announcing the launch of POGBA MDXCIII on social media last weekend.

Described on its website as 'a bold and modern vision of luxury', the initial range features custom baseball caps, tracksuits, and t-shirts emblazoned with the line's star motif.

POGBA MDXCIII - 1593 in Roman numerals, which could refer to his birthdate of March 15, 1993 - is designed in Miami, with 'the finest artisans and manufacturers', and aims to 'redefine the codes of luxury sport, blending excellence, authenticity, and emotion'.

The World Cup winner called upon his wife Zulay Pogba to help him promote the fledgling line

As well as posing for the launch in one of the label's signature POGBA MDX satin track jackets, Pogba has also tapped his wife Zulay to star in the first press images.

The Bolivian model and interior designer has an impressive 1.3million followers on Instagram, and shared a snap of herself wearing one of the caps with the caption: 'The wait is over, first drop is here!'

The caps are one of the more affordable items available from the brand, costing more than £70, while t-shirts are priced at over £100.

The track jackets are the most expensive garments for fans to get their hands on however, with one available for purchase for £168, with the tracksuit bottoms a further £130.

Pogba is equally determined to appear in Monaco colours as well as his own label, and is thought to be edging closer to a debut for his new side as he ups his training under newly appointed head coach Sebastien Pocognoli.

Although there had been speculation that the midfielder might feature in Monaco's match against Tottenham on Wednesday evening, Pocognoli confirmed on Tuesday that he still needs a little more time.

'Paul is training, but not fully,' Pocognoli shared. 'I think the process for Paul is a process to make everything step by step.

'(On Monday) he joined with the group for the first time under my coaching. He was smiling, he was enjoying (himself) and interacting with the players. For me, this is the first step and this step can take days, can take two or three weeks, and then we can build on this through performance and consistency.

The influencer also modelled one of the brand's satin caps which is available to buy for £70

'So that is the first step and here we are. That is the situation, but I am very pleased, for sure, to see him on the pitch.'

For his part, Pogba is content to work hard and be patient.

'I am a determined person, who wants to come back and who wants to enjoy myself on the pitch against especially, because that is what I miss the most,' he told his club's media team.

'The objective is therefore to make my return to the highest level, while taking the time necessary, and being patient.

On what he has been doing - beyond building a fashion brand - in the meantime, he added: 'My daily life during these two years has been that of a very present dad.

'I would take my kids to school, then I would go to training, then I would pick them up from school. So I spent a lot of time with my family and training.'
