From Air Base Galeo, Rio de Janeiro, the Indonesian Presidential aircraft-1 carrying President Prabowo and entourage took off for Brasilia at 14:45 local time.
Upon arrival at Braslia Air Base, President Prabowo was welcomed by the Brazilian government represented by Secretary for Asia Susan Kleebank, Brazilian Ambassador to Indonesia George Prata, and Colonel Nicolas, Commander of Brasilia Air Base. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Brazil Eddy Yusup along with Indonesian Defense Attache to Brazil Colonel Inf. Rizal Ashwan also welcomed Prabowo.

During this visit to the capital of Brazil, Prabowo will hold a meeting with President of Brazil Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at the Presidential Palace of Brazil. This meeting will discuss the strategic partnership between the two countries as well as the expansion and exploration of potential cooperation between Indonesia and Brazil in various fields.
The state visit to Brasilia was carried out after President Prabowo attended a series of meetings at the BRICS 2025 High-Level Conference held in Rio de Janeiro.
In the meeting, Prabowo proposed the South-South Economic Compact initiative in the second session of the conference. Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir said that the proposal aims to make BRICS countries a motor for providing broader access to global south countries.
"The goal here is for BRICS countries to become a motor for providing broader access to global south countries for trade, also to further integrate their economy to become part of the supply chain," said the man known as Tata in his official statement in Rio de Janeiro on July 6, 2025.
On the second day of the conference, Prabowo stated Indonesia's commitment to participate in combating climate change, including efforts to switch to clean energy.
Arrmanatha stated that during the session, a number of countries expressed their commitment to addressing the issue of climate change. This commitment includes strengthening collaboration and climate agenda in preparation for the Conference of The Parties or COP30 to be held in Brazil.
"There were several countries that expressed their commitment to address climate change and prepare for COP 30 to be held in Belem, Brazil," said the man known as Tata.
In addition to climate and environmental issues, Prabowo also paid attention to global health issues. According to Tata, Indonesia expressed support for the World Health Organization (WHO) in addressing global health issues.
"Earlier, the President expressed his commitment to continue, to assist the WHO in global health-related matters," he said.
