The curtain came down on gameweek five in the Premier League with Arsenal snatching a last-gasp draw against Manchester City at the Emirates.

Gabriel Martinelli produced a delicate lob in the third minute of injury time to claim a point.

The late goal was good news for one Predictor player - PushSummerHosta - as it meant they topped the rankings after also predicting Erling Haaland's ninth-minute opener in the tie-break question.

Due to an unfortunate Daily Mail Predictor error, gameweek five included just six games instead of the usual seven.

To make sure everything stayed fair and fun, all users who submitted picks this week received an extra point on the leaderboard as a bonus for the missing game.

EXPERT PREDICTIONS

Daily Mail Sport's Nathan Salt predicted two correct results

Liverpool v Everton – HOME WIN - 1pt

Brighton v Tottenham – DRAW - 1pt

Man United v Chelsea – DRAW - 0pts

Bournemouth v Newcastle – HOME WIN - 0pts

Sunderland v Aston Villa – HOME WIN - 0pts

Arsenal v Man City– AWAY WIN - 0pts

In the Daily Mail Sport league, this week's expert Nathan Salt predicted two correct results, moving him up to third place in the standings overall.

James Sharpe and Kieran Gill led the way with three accurate predictions with the former sitting atop the expert league table.

Salt got off to a flier on Saturday but the three draws on Sunday let him down.

Liverpool overcame Merseyside rivals Everton in the early kick-off while Tottenham came back to secure a draw at Brighton.

Manchester United held on to a vital victory over Chelsea in an entertaining clash at Old Trafford to round off the action on Saturday.

All points were shared on Sunday as Bournemouth and Newcastle played out a goalless draw, Aston Villa's visit to Sunderland ended in a 1-1 draw before City and Arsenal finished 1-1.
