Breaking:Ange Postecoglou sacked by Nottingham Forest

Big breaking news just in.

Ange Postecoglou has been sacked as Nottingham Forest manager after their 3-0 defeat to Chelsea in the lunchtime kick-off.

The axe fell just 19 minutes after the final whistle.

Nottingham Forest's statement is as follows:

Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect.
The Club will make no further comment at this time.'

Is Europe key to the futures of Glasner and Iraola?

There are no airs and graces around Selhurst Park. A bit back, Bournemouth's stars were gathered in a small courtyard area by the pitch, and were almost blocked from running onto the turf by a wayward wanderer: me!
Michael has already touched on Guehi's situation, but it's worth highlighting too that Oliver Glasner and Andoni Iraola are out of contract in the summer.
Reaching Europe could be pivotal in keeping them onboard, and as such, this clash could prove pivotal down the line.'

How will Everton cope without Grealish?

It will be interesting to see how Everton go without Jack Grealish in their line-up today.

The on-loan winger has scored once and provided four assists in the early weeks of his spell with the Toffees.

Grealish's contribution at Man City has not been forgotten by home fans either and merchandise sellers either.

Man City scarves with Grealish's name and image are on sale outside the Etihad.

If anything, it is a good attempt to clear any remaining stock if Grealish's long-term future is away from Man City.

Haaland targets another hat-trick

A key task for Everton today will be keeping Erling Haaland quiet, if that's possible at the moment.

Haaland has scored 12 goals in nine appearances for Man City so far this season - with only Tottenham preventing him from scoring.

His hot streak continued on international duty with a hat-trick for Norway against Israel during the World Cup qualifiers.

Our friends at Squawka have provided an excellent stat that if Haaland scores today, it will be the third time a player has reached double digits in the Premier League after eight gameweeks.

The other two times this happened, Haaland was also responsible.

TEAM NEWS: Sunderland vs Wolves

Sunderland will be aiming to maintain their strong start to the campaign against bottom side Wolves.

Chris Rigg and Dan Ballard return to the Black Cats starting line-up as part of two changes.

The same number of changes for Wolves too, with Matt Doherty and Rodrigo Gomes starting at the Stadium of Light as Vítor Pereira's side target their first league win of the campaign.

Guehi heading for Palace exit

Sticking with Crystal Palace for a moment.

Palace fans are going to be forced to confront the departure of captain Marc Guehi, with Glasner confirming the defender will not remain at the club beyond the end of his contract.

Guehi had seen a move to Liverpool collapse on transfer deadline day.

Guehi has become an England international during his time at Selhurst Park and was close to joining Liverpool in the summer in a £35million move until Palace pulled out of the deal.

TEAM NEWS: Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth

Crystal Palace saw their long unbeaten run come to an end before the international break, but Oliver Glasner has kept faith with the same side who started that defeat by Everton.

Teenage forward Eli Kroupi makes his first Premier League start for Bournemouth.

He comes into the line-up in place of Evanilson. Alex Jimenez and Justin Kluivert also start.

Bournemouth can go top for a few hours at least if they win at Selhurst Park.

TEAM NEWS: Burnley vs Leeds

Zian Flemming, Lesley Ugochukwu and Jacob Bruun Larsen come into Burnley's starting line-up as Scott Parker's side welcome Leeds to Turf Moor.

As for Leeds, just the one change with Noah Okafor missing out through injury.

Jack Harrison is in from the start.

TEAM NEWS: Brighton vs Newcastle

Brighton are protecting a record of having never lost to Newcastle at the Amex in the Premier League.

One change for the Seagulls from their last match, with Georginio Rutter coming in for the injured Brajan Gruda.

Newcastle are unchanged from their win over Nottingham Forest before the international break.

Ake's first Premier League start of the season

It’s a first Premier League start of the season for Nathan Ake. Amazingly, really, given we’re in mid-October and he’s made eight appearances for club and country.
Good news for City is that Omar Marmoush has returned to the bench. But Rayan Ait-Nouri doesn’t make it.

TEAM NEWS: Man City vs Everton

Pep Guardiola has made three changes to the side that beat Brentford ahead of the international break.

Nathan Ake, Nico Gonzalez and Jeremy Doku start in place of Josko Gvardiol, Oscar Bobb and Rodri, with the latter not fit for selection.

Everton are crucially missing Jack Grealish, who is unable to face his parent club.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Charly Alcaraz and Beto come into the starting line-up for the Toffees.

A packed Saturday line-up

The end of the international break has been followed by a bumper Saturday of Premier League action.

Nottingham Forest and Chelsea opened the action at midday, but our focus will be on the 3pm action.

There are five 3pm kick-offs to bring you with Manchester City’s clash with Everton at the Etihad arguably the pick of the fixtures.

Stay tuned as well for updates from Newcastle’s trip to Brighton, Burnley vs Leeds, Sunderland vs Wolves and the match between two high-flying sides, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.
