TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - On March 14, 2025, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) announced its official management team for the 2024-2029 term, revealing that Hashim Djojohadikusumo, the brother of President Prabowo Subianto, along with his two children, Aryo Djojohadikusumo and Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, have been appointed to strategic positions.

Hashim Djojohadikusumo has been named Chair of the Advisory Board of Kadin Indonesia, operating under the leadership of Chairperson Anindya Bakrie.

In 2018, Hashim was listed as one of Indonesia's wealthiest individuals by Forbes, ranking 35th. At that time, Forbes estimated his wealth to be around US$850 million, or approximately Rp12.3 trillion.

His wealth is derived from his company, the Arsari Group, which operates across diverse sectors including palm oil plantations, pulp and paper, logistics, and cargo services.

Hashim's Children in Kadin Leadership

Hashim's eldest child, Aryo Djojohadikusumo, has been appointed Deputy Chair of Kadin's Energy and Mineral Resources Division. Aryo previously served as a Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) from 2014 to 2019.

He has been active in the Gerindra Party since 2010, establishing the party's affiliate organization, Tunas Indonesia Raya (TIDAR). He gained public attention when TIDAR actively supported and campaigned for the victory of Jokowi-Basuki in the 2012 Jakarta gubernatorial election.

In addition to his political involvement, Aryo has also participated in his family's business network, holding various commissioner positions within subsidiaries of the Arsari Group.

Hashim's second child, Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, serves as Deputy Chair of Kadin's Culture Division. Unlike her brother, Sara initially garnered recognition as an actress in films with nationalistic themes, such as Merah Putih, Darah Garuda, and Hati Merdeka.

After completing her education abroad, Sara became active in both acting and managing the family business, the Arsari Group. In 2012, Sara began her political career by joining the Gerindra Party's TIDAR affiliate organization, established by her brother, serving as the Head of the Development Division.

In the same year, she founded the Parinama Astha Foundation, focusing on combating human trafficking. In 2013, Sara was officially assigned by Gerindra to the Central Java Electoral District IV, covering Sragen, Karanganyar, and Wonogiri.

She ran as a legislative candidate in 2014 and was elected, subsequently serving on the VIII Commission of the Indonesian House of Representatives, which oversees Religion, Social Affairs, and Women's Empowerment, from 2014 to 2019.
