NBA player Seth Curry could be set to re-sign with the Golden State Warriors and reunite with his superstar brother.

Seth, the younger brother of NBA champion Steph Curry, had looked to make it a family affair in the Bay Area earlier this year when he joined the Warriors in training camp but was waived just before the season started due to the team's financial restraints.

However, the franchise now appears set to unite the two brothers as initially planned with the Warriors signing the veteran guard to a contract for the remainder of the season, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

Due to their $206.3million payroll, which is just below the second apron (a new salary cap threshold which comes with severe penalties), the Warriors could not initially commit to Seth's veteran minimum contract heading into the season.

The team now has more roster flexibility in December, leading to Seth being expected to re-sign on Monday.

After going undrafted out of Duke in 2013, he has carved out an impressive 11-year career, playing for 10 different teams and establishing himself as one of the most accurate shooters in the history of the game.

Seth Curry (L) could be set to re-sign with the  Warriors and reunite with his star brother, Steph

Seth joined the Warriors in September but was waived by the team just before the season

While his older brother, 37, is of course known for his shooting ability, Seth has also made 43.3 percent of his threes - the seventh-highest rate in NBA history.

Seth also began his pro career with the Warriors' G League affiliate, though he has never played for the Warriors themselves.

The pair have never played on the same team in the NBA and, even with Seth's signing, they will have to wait a while longer to step onto the court together.

Steph, who leads the 11-10 Warriors in scoring, is currently sidelined with a left quad strain and is expected to be re-evaluated sometime in the coming week.

The elder Curry has spent his entire 16-year, record-setting career with the Warriors as he's won two MVPs, four championships and broke the record for most three-pointers made.
