Shedeur Sanders’ house in suburban Cleveland was reportedly broken into while he made his NFL debut for the Browns on Sunday.

ProFootballTalk was first to report news of the break-in at Sanders' house on Monday evening. It is currently unclear whether anything was taken, while no suspects have yet been identified.

The rookie quarterback is the latest NFL star to be targeted by thieves while in action on the field, following the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Joe Burrow.

NBA players Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Ja Morant were also the victims of robberies this year amid a worrying rise in big-name athletes being burgled.

Sunday proved a rollercoaster for Sanders, who followed the seismic high of his NFL debut by hearing that his home had been broken into.

Following a head injury to starting signal caller Dillon Gabriel in the third quarter, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski called upon the 23-year-old to step into the game.

Shedeur, one of NFL legend Deion Sanders' three sons, was met with loud cheers from fans inside Huntington Bank Field, footage showed, as he ran to midfield and prepared for his very first NFL snap.
