Sofia Vergara's co-star reveals she dated another NFL legend before rumored fling with Tom Brady

It appears that Tom Brady is not the only NFL legend A-List actress Sofia Vergara has had a rumored romance with, as her longtime friend and 'Modern Family' co-star Eric Stonestreet spilled the tea on her love life. 

The current 'America's Got Talent' judge was revealed to have previously dated Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez by Stonestreet, who is a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan. 

Vergara, 53, reportedly told Stonestreet about the romance, without giving away when it happened. 

Gonzalez played for the Chiefs from 1997 through 2008, with the tight end marrying wife October in 2007. Gonzalez also dated Lauren Sanchez, the now-wife of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, from 2000 until 2002. 

The host of the 'Like a Farmer' Podcast approached the subject by asking Stonestreet about his good friend's possible romance with Brady, which has been rumored since June. 

'That’s what was [reported] online,' Stonestreet began. 'Well, really? I mean, I can find out, I guess. I don’t know. You know, she dated Tony Gonzalez years ago. That’s a great story.'

'So when we first started hanging out and she’s getting to know me, and I’m wearing a lot of Chiefs stuff. She goes, "Eric, are you a Kansas fan?" And I said, "Yeah."'

Then she admitted to a romance to Gonzalez, without the exact title of their relationship defined. 

'I had no idea. I didn’t know who Sofia Vergara was when Tony Gonzalez was a Chief. I didn’t know that. But yeah, she used to date Tony Gonzalez way back when,' Stonestreet added. 

Gonzalez's romance with Sanchez made headlines earlier this year, days after Jeff Bezos' wife was the center of attention at Donald Trump's inauguration in Washington, D.C. in January in her plunging white Alexander McQueen ensemble.

Sanchez, 55, stunned in a tailored blazer and a lace corset with floral detailing underneath, attracting attention from fellow attendees like Mark Zuckerberg.

But her presence at the forefront of political proceedings led fans on social media to discover that she is the ex-girlfriend of Gonzalez, 48.

The NFL star and Lauren - who share a son, Nikko - have since been spotted on numerous outings together, along with their new partners, in recent years.

They also identified that Gonzalez now works as an analyst on 'Thursday Night Football', which is broadcast by Bezos' Amazon Prime Video. 

Despite undergoing a rocky separation in 2002, during which Lauren and Tony threw a slew of cheating allegations at each other, the pair seem to have gotten over their tumultuous past. 

It's no secret that Lauren has stayed closed with Tony and his new wife, October Gonzalez, as she's often seen hanging out with them. 

Lauren has previously referred to Tony as one of her 'best friends' and gushed about their co-parenting style. 

Over the summer, the foursome proved that they had moved on from the past as they as they vacationed together in Greece alongside their respective partners.

The group has also spent a considerable amount of time on Jeff's luxurious yacht.

The Amazon founder's 230-foot tall yacht, which he commissioned in 2018 and named Koru, currently holds the record for being the world's tallest super-yacht. The Koru is the second-largest sailing ship in the world.
