As if things haven't been hard enough on the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns, they might end up playing each other in a storm in Ohio on Sunday afternoon.

As per Fox Sports 640's Andy Slater, there is a 94% chance of rain as well as a possibility of wind gusts reaching 50-60mph at Huntington Bank Field.

The National Weather Service has even sent out a warning that it could evolve into a storm that hits Cleveland in time for the NFL showdown and that more information will be available on Friday.

Miami has, over the years, forged an unfortunate reputation for struggling in conditions other than sunshine and the concerning forecast comes as pressure intensifies on head coach Mike McDaniel.

Things got harder this week after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa called out his teammates after last weekend's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, before apologizing after McDaniel criticized him.

'I've made a mistake and I'm owning up to that right now,' he said. 'I've talked to guys on the team about it, talked to the leaders about it, and they know my heart.

Cleveland Browns are set to take on Miami Dolphins in some testing weather conditions

It's tough news for Mike McDaniel, whose Dolphins team typically struggle in bad weather

'They know that the intent was right. But no matter the intent ... when things get misconstrued or however the media wants to portray it, that leaves a void of silence and a lot of questions for the guys on our team now being 1-5.'

Both teams are 1-5 going into Sunday's game, with Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski also facing growing scrutiny over his position leading the team.

Quarterback Dillon Gabriel is winless in two starts with momentum growing for Stefanski to throw Shedeur Sanders into the mix.

But given Sunday's potential for weather chaos, perhaps the best thing that can happen for Sanders is to sit as No 2 for now.

Next week, the Browns meet the New England Patriots while the Dolphins face the Atlanta Falcons.
