NFL fans were left stunned on Friday as they learned that Justin Herbert has a younger brother playing in the NFL.
Of course, the quarterback is in his sixth season with the Chargers and has established himself as one of the league's better passers.
But his brother, Patrick, also joined the Jaguars this year as an undrafted free agent, and fans were surprised after he talked about facing Justin this weekend.
'I learned something new today,' one wrote on X.
'This is some Mandela effect s***,' another said. 'This person didn't exist last week.'
'there are people with brothers that never had brothers before,' a third quipped.

And a fourth joked: 'With the mustache he looks like Justin Herbert's evil twin brother.'
In fact, Patrick was teammates with his brother for one season at Oregon, and played four seasons with the Ducks as a tight end.
He finished his collegiate career with 388 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 43 games.
Patrick, 25, and Justin, 27, will face off in the pros for the first time this weekend, and the former told reporters how he was feeling heading into the matchup.
'It's awesome. I think we kinda take it for granted sometimes looking at him and being like, 'oh he's been in the league for 5-6 years' or whatever. I think it's a big accomplishment. That's so cool.'
The elder Herbert has impressed for the Chargers this year as he's thrown for 19 touchdowns and 2,610 yards in 10 games thus far.
Patrick, meanwhile, is yet to make his NFL debut as he's been on Jacksonville's practice squad.
The Jaguars and Chargers will kick off at 1pm ET on Sunday.
