Suni Lee reveals what she wants in a boyfriend... and the trait that she hates in men

Suni Lee may have left a trail of broken hearts in her wake after she revealed her criteria in a man. 

The Olympic gold medalist, 22, has become the subject of many men's affections and some rarely attempt to hide it as they gush over the gymnast on social media. 

And Lee, who has also modeled for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition, admitted that she has seen all their admiring posts swooning over her. 

'I think it's really funny,' Lee said on the 'HAHA' podcast. 'Sometimes I can't tell if it's just like a joke or if they're being for real, but it's really funny to me.' 

However, she warned that not everyone would stand a chance as she shared the one trait she avoids at all cost: immaturity.

'I feel like my type is, like, athletes,' Lee said. 'I like a very emotionally intelligent man because I feel like a lot of the guys that I've talked to or come across, they always just end up being so immature.

'And I'm like, you're five, six years older than me and you act like that. I act older than you.'

The six-time Olympic medalist also revealed her age limit, admitting that she draws the line at anyone more than five years older than her. 

'I like a funny guy and somebody that's caring - not just about me, but with the people around me,' she added. 'If we go out and you're only worried about me I'm going to be mad because I need you to be able to take care of me and all my friends.' 

Lee finished her second Olympic games just over a year ago, adding a gold and two bronze medals to her haul in Paris. 

Despite since wanting to enjoy a slower pace of life, Lee ironically moved to the city that never sleeps. Now living in New York, Lee has embraced the Big Apple's boisterous sporting scene, swapping the spotlight for the sidelines.

Lee became a frequent feature on Celebrity Row at Madison Square Garden this summer when she soaked up the New York Knicks' playoff action. In fact, she was such a habitual visitor to the garden that she garnered romantic links to Knicks star OG Anunoby.

And, while she firmly shut down the rumors, her star power is only continuing to rocket as she transitions from the beam to the screen.

She's already starred in a number of campaigns, including NFL star Travis Kelce's collaboration with American Eagle. Lee modelled for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's AE x Tru Kolors launch alongside fellow athletes, including college basketball star Azzi Fudd and Kiyan Anthony.

She made her modelling debut earlier in the year, appearing in the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue alongside her Olympic teammate - and Dancing with the Stars celebrity - Jordan Chiles.

Lee was one of many women who hit the catwalk for the famous lingerie brand in Brooklyn last month, along with the likes of WNBA star Angel Reese and singer Madison Beer. 

No stranger to makeup from her time on the gymnastics mat, Lee has also inked numerous deals with brands such as Laneige and Ole Henriksen.
