David King has joked that he wants his Fireball co-host Kane Cornes to undergo a drug test, after the former Port Adelaide star took to Instagram over the weekend to show off his absolutely shredded physique.
The 42-year-old is currently holidaying with his wife Lucy and their children in Japan but the family stopped off in Singapore on the way with Cornes revealing he’s still hitting the gym even while on vacation.
The footy great posed for a topless snap of himself looking ripped in the gym and published the photo on Instagram, with some taking to the comments to praise him for his physique.
King, meanwhile, announced on Tuesday that he had put pen to paper on a new deal with SEN that will see him continue to present the radio station’s hit show Fireball until the end of 2028.
Speaking with Sam Edmund and Cameron Mooney on SEN1116, the North Melbourne great lifted the lid on his and Cornes’ working relationship, claiming that they are such a good presenting duo because of how different they both are.
‘He sees the world differently to me. He’s a non-drinking marathon runner. I’m a non-running marathon drinker. This is why we work so well together,’ King joked while speaking on SEN1116.

King (pictured) announced that he'd signed a new deal to continue working alongside Cornes on SEN1116's Fireball breakfast show for another three years in October
Cornes is a big fitness fanatic and Mooney and Edmund were left staggered by how well the 42-year-old has kept his body in shape.
Mooney said: ‘I’ve actually said to Sam, I think he’s on the peptides because I think he’s bulked up like you wouldn’t believe!’
Edmund added: ‘He’s jacked!’
King stepped in and jokingly called for Cornes to be drug tested.
‘I think there’s a chance - on the back of the Rhys Mathieson discussion over the past couple of weeks - I want him [Cornes] tested,' King said, firmly tongue-in-cheek.
‘I think we can do that. Feb 2, urine test off the top just to get the year rolling. If he does report positive, I don’t know what the sanction would be.’
Mathieson was banned from playing all levels of footy for three years after the former Brisbane Lions star, who was delisted in 2023 and has since expressed a desire to become a bodybuilder, tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
King’s contract extension comes just a month after his co-host Cornes locked in a four-year deal with SEN.
Cornes has been enjoying some downtime during the AFL off-season, holidaying with his wife Lucy in Japan and their children
King joked that the reason he and Cornes have become two of the best radio show hosts in Australia is because of their differences: ‘He sees the world differently to me. He’s a non-drinking marathon runner. I’m a non-running marathon drinker. This is why we work so well together'
‘I’ve never been a fan of long-term contracts in footy – so the irony of this deal isn’t lost on me,’ Cornes said at the time.
‘But SEN is home - I love the team, the audience and the freedom to say what I think. I’m excited to keep doing what I do, and to keep challenging the conversation around sport in this country.’
King delved into how his and Cornes’ relationship has developed over the years, joking that the pair hadn’t seen eye-to-eye at the start.
‘[It’s] a lot of fun working with the Corn [Cornes],’ King said.
‘It started out a little bit testy, I don’t know if he liked me and I don’t know if I liked him the first couple of years.
‘The last 18 months have been a lot of fun and I think the audience just get involved and that’s been the change over the past 12 months.
‘We’re rolling again and it should be fun!’
