A 38-year-old man in Texas has been indicted and accused of threatening University of Louisville head football coach Jeff Brohm and his family after a defeat to Cal over the weekend.
The man, identified as Brian Mandel, also threatened offensive coordinator Brian Brohm and quarterback Miller Moss.
He faces six counts of terroristic threatening and one count of attempted theft by extortion of over $10,000. Mandel is not in police custody and a warrant is out for his arrest.
The threats were allegedly made on November 8 and 9 - after the Cardinals fell to Cal in overtime. Moss was allegedly the target of the extortion.
In a statement, the University of Louisville said, 'We are aware of the recent indictment of an individual who issued threats directed at our head football coach, his wife and kids, members of his coaching staff and student-athletes.
'The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community remain our highest priority.

The contents of the threats or the extortion messages have not been made public.
Louisville was ranked at No. 15 in the first College Football Playoff rankings of the year before losing 29-26 in overtime to Cal.
Since then, they've dropped to No. 19 in the AP Poll. The CFP Poll will be released later this week.
In the midst of his third season at Louisville, Brohm is 26-10 and has made a bowl game in all three seasons (the Cardinals have clinched a bowl berth this year).
