When Cristiano Ronaldo first arrived in Manchester aged 18, he had come from the humble Portuguese seaside city of Funchal with little to his name beyond a contract as a young player emerging into the first team at Sporting Lisbon.
But within a year of penning a lucrative contract at Old Trafford, the footballing superstar was behind the wheel of a £67,500 Porsche Cayenne - one of the fastest 4x4s on the road.
That would be the start of what is now an obsession with supercars for Ronaldo, who today admitted that he doesn't even know how many cars he has.
'If I had to bet I’d honestly say 40 or 41,' Ronaldo told Piers Morgan in part one of their new interview. 'Honestly I don’t know. I love the Bugattis, they are different beasts.'
The 40-year-old, who was recently announced as football's first billionaire, also admitted today that he bought a £3.2million Bugatti Tourbillon as 'an investment' rather than for pleasure.
And that is leaving one question on everyone's lips - what other luxury motors does Ronaldo have in the sprawling Saudi garage of his?
Here's everything Daily Mail Sport knows about his car collection over the years...
When Cristiano Ronaldo first arrived in Manchester aged 18, he had come from the humble Portuguese seaside city of Funchal with little more than the striped jumper on his back
After ditching his Cayenne at Manchester United, Ronaldo was spotted around Manchester behind the wheel of even more lavish rides.
His passion for cars nearly caused him a serious injury in 2009 when he crashed and wrecked a Ferrari days before United played Chelsea, but he escaped unhurt.
That car was a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano worth £200,000 with a top speed of 205mph.
In 2009, Ronaldo joined Madrid for a then world-record transfer fee of £80million and he was treated to a number of Audis due to Real's sponsorship deal with the company.
Each year, the Madrid squad were given a new car by the manufacturer and Ronaldo was seen with an Audi RS5, an Audi R8 and an Audi S8.
He then made the move to Juventus in 2018, and it was in Turin where he splashed £8.5million on a limited-edition Bugatti Centodieci.
Ronaldo is believed to be one of only 10 people worldwide who owns the supercar, which reportedly has 1600 horsepower and can reach a top speed of 236mph.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner says his favourite make is Bugatti, and admitted to Piers Morgan in a 2022 interview that he likes to have two of everything.

In 2021, Ronaldo bought a Bentley Flying Spur worth £250,000 to use in Manchester, having re-joined United from Juventus in August.
He then purchased a £200,000 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera convertible which boasts a 5.2 litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine and is capable of delivering a stunning 715 bhp.
Ronaldo also has a Bentley Continental GT, a Lamborghini Urus and a Chevrolet Camaro worth 'only' £40,000, which is used for the family.
The five-time Champions League winner bought a Ferrari Monza worth £1.4million, having visited Ferrari HQ in Maranello in May 2021.
Other cars the Saudi Professional League forward has are a silver Ferrari, a Mercedes AMG GLE 63 and a black Mercedes, as well as £2million Bugatti Chiron, a £500,000 Ferrari 599 GTO and a McLaren Senna worth £750,000.
His fiancee, Georgina Rodriqguez, also splashed out on a third Rolls Royce for his 36th birthday - complimenting the two he already had: a Cullinan worth £300,000 and a Phantom Drophead coupe which costs around £500,000.

Ronaldo received a new £164,000 BMW as part of an Al-Nassr sponsorship deal
Rodriguez's purchase of the Rolls Royce Dawn model is understood to have cost around £500,000.
Last March he also added a £2million Ferrari Daytona SP3 to his fleet of supercars.
Ronaldo told Piers Morgan today that as well as the Bugatti Tourbillon, the Al-Nassr squad are also each gifted a BMW due to the manufacturer's partnership with the Saudi Pro League club.
He said he had to drive it home after a training session - a rare occasion for the forward who says he rarely gets behind the wheel in Saudi Arabia due to the high volume of traffic.
It is understood that Ronaldo has more than one of many of his cars - though it is unknown which ones have been doubled up on.
The Daily Mail revealed in January 2023 that Ronaldo had moved into a lavish suite in Riyadh's Four Seasons hotel shortly after penning the £175million contract with the Saudi club.
He was originally staying in the Kingdom Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the country, and was put in one of the best suites the city - and the country - could offer.
But it is believed he has since moved into an exclusive compound which contains top-level security and on-site amenities for the footballer and his family.
Fans received a rare glimpse into the property today during the Morgan interview, which appeared to be set in a man cave decked out with a luxury brown leather sofa and memorabilia.
Morgan joked during the interview: 'I love your man cave here but there’s one problem. Do you know what it is?
'Where is the Arsenal shirt that I gave you? I mean, where is it?'
Morgan also hinted at Ronaldo's 'games room' within his Saudi home which is said to be full of e-sports awards and consoles.
