Indonesian Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said that he would reallocate the remaining Rp200 trillion in the State-Owned Banks Association (Himbara) that has not been disbursed

Last September, Rp 200 trillion flowed into Bank Mandiri Rp55 trillion, BRI Rp55 trillion, BNI Rp55 trillion, BTN Rp25 trillion, and BSI Rp10 trillion.

Purbaya said that he will transfer the money to the Regional Development Bank (BPD). The Ministry of Finance prioritizes this remaining money for Bank Jakarta and Bank Jawa Timur.

The former Head of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) stated that the funds in these five banks have not been fully disbursed. Bank Mandiri distributed Rp40.6 trillion (74 percent), BRI distributed Rp33.9 trillion (62 percent), BNI distributed Rp27.6 trillion (50 percent), BTN distributed Rp4.8 trillion (19 percent), and BSI distributed Rp5.5 trillion (55 percent). 3. Indonesia's Finance Ministry Expects Rp200tn in Bank Funds to Lift Credit Growth to 10%

Indonesia's Ministry of Finance expects that the government’s placement of Rp200 trillion in state-owned banks will boost national credit growth by up to 10 percent by the end of 2025.

Officials say the absorption of the funds so far has shown promising results.

“If credit growth reached 7 percent in August, we hope it can rise to 10 percent by year-end. The impact will be reflected in working capital, consumption, and investment credit, which will ultimately support GDP growth in the fourth quarter,” said Febrio Kacaribu, Director-General of Economic and Fiscal Policy Strategy at the Finance Ministry, during a media briefing at the Directorate General of Taxation office in Jakarta on October 9, 2025.

According to Febrio, of the total Rp200 trillion transferred from Bank Indonesia (BI) to the five state-owned banks, Bank Mandiri recorded the highest absorption rate.
