TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Rosan Roeslani, the CEO of Danantara, announced that former British Prime Minister Sir Anthony Charles Lynton Blair, or Tony Blair, has become a member of Danantara's supervisory board.

"Yes, (Tony is now part of supervisory board)," said the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, on Monday, February 24, 2025.

The minister stopped short of detailing the appointment of Tony Blair as member of the sovereign wealth fund’s supervisory board.

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The issue of handling waste on Untung Jawa Island on a daily basis not only involves managing waste from the surrounding community. The person responsible for waste management on Untung Jawa Island, Syaripudin, said that there is often a large amount of incoming trash on the beach.

"There was even up to 10 tons of incoming trash in a day," said Syaripudin when found on Untung Jawa Island, Kepulauan Seribu Regency, Jakarta, on Saturday, February 22, 2025.

According to Syaripudin, the incoming trash comes from the coastal areas of North Jakarta. In addition, some come from the waters of Tangerang due to ocean currents, and possibly from other areas as well.
