With the Las Vegas Raiders in a full-blown crisis, Tom Brady's NFL team have fired offensive coordinator Chip Kelly.
The move was ruthlessly made hours after the Raiders lost 24-10 to the Cleveland Browns, who had Shedeur Sanders making his first NFL start for the visitng team.
The Raiders have the joint-second worst record in the NFL this season at 2-9 after Brady, who has a minority ownership stake in the organization, helped lead a promising offseason of upheavel in Sin City.
The Raiders signed defensive end Maxx Crosby to a new deal, hired Pete Carroll as head coach, traded for a new quarterback in Geno Smith and took impressive running back Ashton Jeanty in the first round of the NFL Draft.
But Smith especially has struggled for the AFC West team, while Carroll may be feeling as if the walls are closing in on him as the season hits new lows.
The Raiders fired special teams coordinator Tom McMahon earlier in November, too.
The firing of Kelly was first reported by ESPN.
