A Tom Brady-owned trading card shop in New York City was allegedly robbed of almost $10,000 worth of baseball and Pokemon cards last month.

TMZ Sports claims the incident occurred shortly before noon on Monday October 20 at CardVault - the high-end trading store Brady acquired a 50 percent stake in back in February.

The suspect is alleged to have attempted to purchase merchandise worth $9,710, only for the payment to decline.

He is then accused of tricking an employee on the cash register into believing he had paid, before walking straight out of the store with the goods.

Daily Mail has approached the NYPD for more information. The NYPD is asking anyone with information to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.

The lower Manhattan location that was allegedly hit only opened a few weeks beforehand, with Brady in attendance recently for its grand opening.

He was also present for the opening of another CardVault store at the American Dream mall in New Jersey on April 11.

The legendary NFL quarterback and CardVault also have locations in Chicago, Boston, Dallas and on Long Island.

Brady has his fingers in numerous pies almost three years after bringing the curtain down on his football career.

He now spends his time working as a co-owner of NFL franchise the Las Vegas Raiders, a position he controversially juggles with his role as a commentator for Fox Sports.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner also co-owns English soccer club Birmingham City FC.
