Deshaun Watson's 30th birthday wasn't the cause for celebration the Cleveland Browns' social media anticipated on Sunday.

Marking the occasion on X, the Browns were bombarded with angry responses from fans, who remain upset by sexual misconduct allegations against Watson as well as his own poor performance in Cleveland.

'Still time to delete this,' one fan wrote before the team faced the former Cleveland Browns, now the Baltimore Ravens, on Sunday in Maryland.

Others kept it more succinct with messages like 'read the room,' 'tone def,' and 'shut up.'

Watson was already facing around two dozen lawsuits over allegations of sexual misconduct when Cleveland acquired the former Clemson star from Houston for three first-round picks, a third-round selection, and a pair of fourth rounders in March of 2022.

Since signing a new five-year, $230 million contract in Cleveland soon thereafter, Watson has agreed to settle nearly all the lawsuits, most of which were filed by female massage therapists.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson won't play in 2025 due to a ruptured Achilles

Watson turned 30 on Sunday, but fans seemed to bristle at the mere mention of his name

Watson was accused of forcing two women to perform oral sex on him, ejaculating on three women, and forcibly kissing another, while 18 women say he touched them with his penis during massages, according to court files reviewed by DailyMail.com. The alleged incidents took place over 17 months from the fall 2019 through spring.

Two grand juries declined to press charges against Watson over complaints. Watson's attorney, Rusty Hardin, previously accused the plaintiffs of lying while insisting that the NFL star is completely innocent. Hardin has also said that any sexual contact between his client and the plaintiffs was entirely consensual.

But despite the cloud hanging over Watson upon his arrival in Cleveland, fans were largely excited to be getting a three-time Pro Bowl selection seemingly poised to become one of the league's next great quarterbacks.

But due to injuries and his 11-game ban over the sexual misconduct claims. Watson has played in just 19 games for the Browns since 2022, going 9-10 over that time.

Now, with Watson sidelined by a ruptured Achilles for all of 2025, veteran journeyman quarterback Joe Flacco is running the show for the Browns, while rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders are waiting in the wins.

So it was no surprise, Sunday, when fans were unenthusiastic about celebrating Watson's birthday.

'Admin, I know you were forced to post this so I appreciate that you at least didn't give him an exclamation point or emoji,' one joked.

'This is a touching tribute,' another added with the help of a double entendre. 'Nice of you to massage his ego.'
