The Kansas City Chiefs are on a bye week. But tight end Travis Kelce doesn't have any plans to relax or take that time off for himself.

Kelce, 36, and the Chiefs are strong, but not as dominant as they may be used to in an NFL season which has been more topsy-turvy than expected back in August.

The Chiefs are a prime example. After losing the first two games of the season, Kansas City has gone 5-2 ever since - with losses on the road to the Jacksonville Jaguars and, last Sunday, the Buffalo Bills.

On the latest episode of the 'New Heights' podcast, his brother Jason Kelce prodded to find out what Travis' plans were for his week of time off the big stage.

But Travis fired back: 'I'm thinking about how the f*** are we gonna beat the Denver Broncos? That's gonna be on my mind for the next two weeks.'

Jason persisted, trying to find out if Travis had anything set up to rest before a tough final stretch of the season - beginning with the matchup against Denver on November 16.

'Well, for the next week, at least, take your mind a little bit elsewhere,' Jason urged him.

'What are you doing, anything fun? You're gonna get into travel? What are you doing here? What are you doing over the week? Tell us about your personal life.'

But Travis was having none of it, ending that conversation by saying, 'No. No chance.'

Jason tried laughing off the awkward moment before quipping, 'See you guys!' in a fake attempt to end the episode. Travis dropped the mask for a moment and laughed.

While Travis has been in the news more recently due to his engagement to Taylor Swift, the Chiefs have been at the center of attention as well for their inability to find a third gear.

'I can't say that I'm not frustrated, more from the entire start of the season than just this Bills game. I mean, there's games that I don't think we had any business losing,' Travis said.

He added, 'I feel like we didn't come out with our best punch against Buffalo. And yeah, we gotta find a way to clean all that up, man. We gotta get back to playing passionate Chiefs football, dying for each other out there on the field, man.'
