One of the most anticipated regular season matchups in this NFL campaign was a re-match of last season's Super Bowl. To paraphrase Led Zeppelin, the song remains the same.
Perhaps it wasn't as thorough of a domination as in Super Bowl LIX, but the Philadelphia Eagles proved that their victory in New Orleans this past February was not a fluke as they handled the Kansas City Chiefs once again.
Taylor Swift, the fiancé of Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, arrived late to the game (and incognito) - but still was in attendance for her first loss at Arrowhead Stadium. The Eagles defense thoroughly exposed the glaring weaknesses the Chiefs have on their offense - holding Kansas City to just two touchdowns and a field goal en route to a 20-17 victory.
Much like the Super Bowl, Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes faced relentless pressure thanks to a porous offensive line which allowed two sacks and ten total quarterback hits.
So poor was the Chiefs front-seven that Kelce berated the group just before halftime, slamming his helmet to the ground before declaring, 'I'm sick of this s***!'
Kelce would later make a major contribution of his own to the Eagles' victory as a bobble on the doorstep of the end zone in the fourth quarter led to a tide-turning interception.

Patrick Mahomes was hit ten times and sacked twice as the offensive line struggled
A late interception off a Travis Kelce bobble proved to be the biggest difference-maker
In a flash, Philadelphia went from being on the verge of a three-point deficit to transforming the turnover into a ten-point lead they would not relinquish.
The Chiefs did try to break through, though. On their final drive of the game, Mahomes launched a 49-yard touchdown pass to find Tyquan Thornton to cut the deficit to three points.
But after failing to recover the onside kick, the Eagles got the necessary first down and let the clock run out.
Neither quarterback truly shined this game. Mahomes completed 16 passes for 187 yards - plus the aforementioned touchdown and interception. He also ran for 66 yards and a touchdown, but many of those rushes were improvisations from busted pass protection.
Philadelphia's signal-caller Jalen Hurts also didn't really show out. He completed 15 passes for only 101 yards, but rushed for 15 yards and a touchdown.
The Eagles' other offensive star, Saquon Barkley, only averaged four yards-per-carry - but managed to score Philadelphia's other touchdown of the game.
Neither team managed to break the 300 total-yards plateau, but Kansas City (294) got much closer than Philadelphia (216). Philadelphia even punted more times (5) than Kansas City (3).
So when searching for a difference maker, it comes down to two plays - the first being the aforementioned interception.
The Chiefs tried to make it a close game with a deep touchdown pass to Tyquan Thornton
But ultimately, the Chiefs lost by 3. Incidentally, Harrison Butker (L) missed an early field goal.
The other comes from Chiefs' kicker Harrison Butker. Butker, whose controversial commencement speech from two years ago continues to draw scorn, pushed a 58-yard field goal very far right early in the first quarter.
Normally, that's the kind of play that hurts in the moment - but is ultimately inconsequential. This wasn't that game. If Butker makes that kick, this game looks much different in the late stages.
Maybe Philadelphia doesn't get to run out the clock. Maybe Kansas City does instead. Maybe with the game at a hypothetical 20-13, Mahomes doesn't bomb a deep pass for Thornton and takes his time to slowly, methodically march down the field and score a game-tying touchdown to force overtime and this result looks plenty different.
But, to quote Kelce's fiancé - who watched 'The Guy on the Chiefs' lose at home in front of her for the first time - that's a game of 'Would've, Could've, Should've'.
