Travis Kelce has offered praise for Chiefs coach Andy Reid following their angry sideline clash on Sunday night.

The tight end and Reid were seen yelling at each other as Kansas City were struggling against the Giants in the first half, with Reid even bumping Kelce before things cooled off.

But following the Chiefs' eventual 22-9 win against New York, Kelce had some kind words for his longtime coach on the latest episode of "New Heights.'

Initially speaking about receiver Tyquan Thornton, who starred in the game, Kelce said: 'He's a smart football player.

'Smart football players are gonna f***ing thrive in this offense, because Coach Reid's gonna put you in positions where you get those one-on-one matchups, man. If you know how to attack it, good things are gonna f***ing happen.'

Kelce did not mention his clash with Reid, which is not the first time they've butted heads following their confrontation at Super Bowl LVII in Las Vegas 18 months ago.

It was ultimately a happy night for Kelce and the Chiefs as they defeated the Giants 22-9

In that instance, Kelce had to be held back by a teammate, though that wasn't necessary this time around as Reid later downplayed the incident.

'That's okay, we need some juice... so that's good!' he said to NBC of his tight end's emotion.

Ultimately, following a first half where the Chiefs settled for three field goals, they pulled off a much-needed win in East Rutherford to earn their first victory of the season.

Patrick Mahomes finished the game with 224 passing yards and a touchdown, and Kelce has seemingly come away from the game feeling confident.

'It feels like we're rolling. It feels like we're starting to get this thing going on offense. Our defense is playing stellar,' he said.

Kelce finished the game with four catches and 26 receiving yards, bringing his season total to 134 through three games.

The Chiefs, who have been seen clashing with each other at other points this season, will hope that their win against the Giants is a turning point for their season.

They'll face the Ravens on Sunday afternoon in a highly-anticipated clash.
