Travis Turner's wife quietly deletes all traces of social media as hunt continues for football coach wanted on child porn charges

As the desperate search for missing high school football coach Travis Turner enters its eleventh day, his wife of 25 years has wiped her Facebook page.

Turner is wanted on a total of 10 counts of child pornorgraphy and solicitation charges and was last seen November 20, heading into a wooded area with a firearm near Big Stone Gap in Virginia.

Leslie Caudill Turner, Turner's wife of 25 years and the mother of his three kids, had used her Facebook account to initially send updates on her missing husband.

But it has now disappeared, days after police revealed that Turner's disappearance coincides with the charges they are looking to arrest him on.

Leslie spoke to Daily Mail exclusively last week, after it emerged that police wanted her husband on child porn charges, to insist that he is innocent.

The family's attorney has confirmed that Turner headed to the woods with a firearm in a statement released. Police visited Turner's house to speak to him on November 20 and when they arrived, he had gone.

'The last known contact the family had with Travis occurred on or about Thursday, November 20, after he left his residence to walk in the woods with a firearm,' attorney Adrian Collins said.

'He is believed to have entered a heavily wooded and mountainous area. At which point, no warrants had been issued for his arrest. 

'When Travis did not return home that evening, his wife promptly notified local law enforcement. She was advised that a missing-person report could not be taken until at least 24 hours had passed. 

'The following day, she filed a missing-person report with the Virginia State Police. The family has cooperated fully with law-enforcement in their ongoing efforts to locate Travis. 

'Family members and friends have also conducted search efforts in the surrounding woods. 

'These efforts have been limited by weather conditions and with respect for the official operations underway.' 

Turner's football team, meanwhile, remains undefeated. The on High School Bears beat Ridgeview High School Wolfpack 21-14 on Saturday, where Turner's oldest son Bailey, 23, was seen on the sidelines.

The Bears are now set to face Glenvar in a Class 2 state semifinal Saturday, December 6. The state championship game is set for Saturday, December 13.

Since taking over at Union in 2011, Turner has twice been honored as Southwest Virginia Coach of the Year. 

Elsewhere, in a haunting video obtained by the Daily Mail, Turner talked about challenges and overcoming adversity in his final interview before fleeing his home.

In a post-game interview praising his side, the Union Bears, after their 40-7 opening round playoff win over the Lee High School Generals, Turner told Mountain Mojo Sports Talk: 'I thought our kids played hard and I thought we overcame some adversity.' 

The school has also removed reference to Turner on its website.
