TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Treasurer of the Democratic Party (Partai Demokrat) Renville Antonio died in an accident in Situbondo, East Java. The Spokesperson Coordinator of DPP Partai Demokrat, Herzaky Mahendra Putra, stated that Renville passed away at 08:00 a.m. local time on Friday, February 14, 2025.
"According to the information from Asembagus Situbondo regional hospital, our brother, the late Dr. H. Renville Antonio, S.H., M.H., passed away due to an accident in Situbondo," Herzaky said in a written statement today.
Herzaky mentioned that Renville's body is currently at the mourning house in Jemursari Regency, Surabaya. He stated that Renville's departure has deeply saddened the Democratic Party, especially Chairperson Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and Secretary General Teuku Riefky Harsya.
"Throughout his life, the deceased dedicated himself tirelessly to build and foster Partai Demokrat and the Overlanding Indonesia community," Herzaky stated.
Tempo has tried to contact the Director of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police Chief, Commissioner General Dirmanto. But until the writing of this news, there has been no response.
