TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two Indonesian racers, Veda Ega Pratama and Mario Aji, failed to finish the MotoGP Americas 2026 race held at Circuit of the Americas, Austin, Texas on Sunday local time, March 29, 2026.

Veda Ega, who represented Honda Team Asia, failed to finish in the Moto3 class after an accident. He started the race from the fourth position and was initially competing at the front.

The 17-year-old racer briefly dropped to eighth place but then demonstrated competitive performance by setting the fastest lap in the fourth lap. However, one lap later he experienced a highside while exiting Turn 11.

This incident caused Veda to fall and be unable to continue the race. The racer behind him, Joel Esteban, also failed to avoid the incident.

The Moto3 race was won by Guido Pini from Leopard Racing, followed by Maximo Quiles in second place and Alvaro Carpe in third.

Meanwhile, Mario Aji, who represented Idemitsu Honda Team Asia, also failed to finish in the Moto2 class. He fell in the last two laps after previously holding onto a points position and competing with Adrian Huertas.
This failure caused Mario to drop to 19th position in the Moto2 standings.

The Moto2 race was won by Senna Agius, followed by Celestino Vietti in second place and Izan Guevara in third. Overall, the race in Austin was closely contested with several incidents that affected the final results, including accidents in several crucial turns.

These results serve as a note for both Indonesian racers to evaluate for the upcoming series, especially in maintaining consistency and avoiding mistakes in crucial phases of the race.
