Crystal Palace and Fulham are among the clubs who are continuing to monitor Watford's highly-rated winger Rocco Vata.
The Glasgow-born youngster started out at Celtic before Watford snapped him up in 2024 on a four year contract.
He scored five goals in his first campaign at Vicarage Road and has scored twice in ten appearances so far this season as he continues to forge a reputation as one of the brightest prospects in the Championship.
However, his progress was halted at the start of this month when he picked up a serious hamstring injury against Middlesbrough which will sideline him for three months.
Italian side Atalanta and Germans Eintracht Frankfurt had also sent scouts earlier this season to check on the 20-year-old who has been capped at international level by the Republic of Ireland.
Watford still value Vata at around £20million.

He is making good progress in his recovery and has also switched agents to StormSportsX but the Vicarage Road club have him under contract until 2028 with an extra year's option.
Palace and Fulham are both looking to strengthen their attacking options in January and next summer.
Palace also face the prospect of losing striker Jean-Philippe Mateta in the summer. Though initial talks over a new contract had been very promising, a new deal remains unsigned and the France international is attracting interest from home and abroad.
