Mark Zuckerberg recently sparred with a reigning UFC champion - and fans were left unimpressed by the footage that emerged from the session.

Zuckerberg, who took up mixed martial arts and Brazilian jiu-jitsu around five years ago, had the chance to train with current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira.

And after the Brazilian posted some video from their meet up, fans trolled the Meta CEO online.

'How many millions did he get just not to rip his head off?,' one asked on X.

'Looks like a grown man and an alien baby,' a second said.

'I've never seen Alex sparring with someone and hitting him so soft haha,' a third added.

Fans accused of Pereira of taking it easy on Zuckerberg, who has been training in mixed martial arts for several years

And a fourth cracked: 'Bro looks like he got his skills from Hogwarts.'

To Zuckerberg's credit, he actually managed to take down Pereira at one point - though fans were highly skeptical that the 38-year-old fighter was really trying.

'What $250B can buy you,' one captioned a photo of Zuckerberg on top of Pereira.

Zuckerberg, 41, was previously tipped to fight fellow billionaire Elon Musk, who re-issued a challenge to fight him in a cage match last year.

Musk also said on Joe Rogan's podcast that a fight between the two would be 'unfair' due to his size advantage.

Nonetheless, a bout between the tech rivals never actually materialized - though Zuckerberg has continued to train with UFC stars.

In March, he trained with Australian martial arts legend Craig Jones for a jiu-jitsu session.

Zuckerberg also claimed a gold and silver medal in his first first Brazilian jiu-jitsu competition in 2023.

The Facebook founder has trained under Dave Camarillo, the former head Brazilian jiu-jitsu coach for the American Kickboxing Academy, and Camarillo had enormous praise for his student.

'He's amazing,' Camarillo told ESPN. 'He is an extremely hard worker, as everybody knows. But a lot of people have a business and they're successful and they have that side of their life, and rarely do they dip into the physical side, especially with something like jiu-jitsu and MMA, and have the same amount of success or even go past Day 1 or Month 1.

'He's not that kind of guy. I think he has a good balance between what he does with his business and what he does in the physical realm. And he excels. He's one of the best students I've ever had.'
