Using German, G-Dragon Reveals the Meaning of Ubermensch Album

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - G-dragon has released Ubermensch, his first album in 12 years. His third album launched on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, featuring a collaboration with Andreson .Paak, Taeyang, and Daesung from BIGBANG.

The album Ubermensch was released through the Galaxy Corporation in collaboration with the independent label EMPIRE. In a press release received by Tempo, G-Dragon revealed that the meaning of Ubermensch is 'Beyond-Man', someone who surpasses oneself. Ubermensch is derived from the German language.

"This album represents the idea of presenting a stronger and tougher version of ourselves to everyone. I hope the power I bring through my music can reach all my fans," said G-Dragon.

G-Dragon Presents 8 Songs in Ubermensch

Rapper and songwriter from South Korea presents eight songs in the Ubermensch album. He also made two new music videos for the songs 'Drama' and 'Too Bad', featuring Anderson Paak. Both music videos were released simultaneously with the Ubermensch album.

G-Dragon's new album also consists of two previously released songs, 'Power' and 'Home Sweet Home'. G-Dragon collaborated with fellow BIGBANG members, Taeyang and Daesung on the song 'Home Sweet Home' released on Friday, November 22, 2024. The song has a pop-rock nuance with a message about reconnecting and its continuation. Meanwhile, 'Power' is G-Dragon's first solo song in the last seven years. The songs 'Power' and 'Home Sweet Home' have collectively garnered over 300 million streams globally.

G-Dragon's First Solo Concert Tour in 8 Years

G-Dragon will start his global tour in March 2025, beginning with two concert dates in Seoul, South Korea. This will be his first solo concert since Act III: M.O.T.T.E World Tour in 2017. G-Dragon is also scheduled to be the main performer at the Head in the Clouds festival in Los Angeles, USA in May 2025. He is also scheduled to perform at the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix in October 2025 alongside Elton John, both being co-headliners.
